Мета:
навчальна: інформувати учнів про
такі лінгвістичні поняття як синоніми, антоніми, омоніми в англійській мові,
вчити вирізняти їх в мовленні та добирати синонімічні та омонімічні ряди,
антонімічні пари, збагачувати словниковий запас;
освітня: поширювати уявлення
учнів про способи розуміння та перекладу іноземного мовлення, мовленнєву
здогадку; про лексичний склад мови;
розвивальна: розвивати лексичні
навички, навички усного мовлення,
читання та аудіювання; логічне мислення, увагу;
виховна: виховувати мовленнєву культуру, інтерес до вивчення мови.

Good morning
everybody! Good morning children! Take your seats. Tell me please, who is on
duty today? Who is absent? Thank you. I see you are ready for the lesson, so
let’s begin. |
Motivation |
Slide 1. Look at the screen please and try to guess what
about we will speak. Of course, about words and their meanings. Slide 2. You’ll get to know about English antonyms, synonyms
and homonyms and practise in translation. By the end of the lesson you’ll
improve your reading and listening skills, enrich your lexical material. |
Warming-up |
Slide 3. We live in Ukraine, we speak Ukrainian or Russian
but everywhere we can hear or see or read English. Look at the screen please.
There are some places where you can hear or see English. Match these places
with the items in exercise 1 (HO 1) and make up the sentences according to
the example. |

Slide 4.Task 1.What do we need for easy understanding of
foreign language? Certainly we have to know a sufficient number of words. But do we need
learning every word? Look at the screen, repeat the words after me and try to
translate them without dictionary. Why is it possible? Some English words
have the same pronunciation or spelling as their Ukrainian equivalents. Task 2. Problem
question. Choose from the list of words the linguistic items. Check your
answers. |

1. Slide 5. Antonym is a word which has the opposite meaning of another. Look at the pictures and pick out the pairs
of antonyms to them and write down them into your copybooks. (The pupils with
lower level of knowledge can take an easier task to this exercise: put the
letters in correct order to make the words and choose the pairs of antonyms
(HO 2). Check your answers. 2. Slide 6. Synonym is a word or phrase with a meaning that is the same as another
word or phrase. Find in the table the lines of synonyms and write them down
into your copybooks. Slide 6. Check your answers. (The pupils with lower level of knowledge can take
an easier task to this exercise: divide the line of letters into the worlds
and find the synonyms (HO 3). |

1. Lexical preparing. Let’s recollect the names of the parts of our
body. Show and repeat. Look at the exercise 2 (HO4). Read the song. 2. Listen to the music, sing and show. Be attentive. There are some
blanked parts in the song. |

strip but there are some blanked words. Read the bubbles and try to guess these words. How
can we name this lexical item? (homonyms)
Slide 9. Homonym is a word with the same sound or spelling but different meaning. Check
your answers and pick out the pairs of homonyms. Write them down into your
copybooks. |

ти мене досі кохаєш (літературний переклад) Try to translate the next text: “Near, far,
