Present Perfect Tense (теперішній
доконаний час) не має аналогу в українській мові. Цей час виражає дію, яка вже
відбулася (у минулому), але вона тісно пов'язана з моментом мовлення
(теперішнім часом) своїм результатом.
Використання:
They have sold their house. — Вони продали свій
будинок. (Зв'язок з теперішнім часом: зараз у них немає будинку, але є
гроші, які вони отримали за будинок)
He has already
done his homework.- Він вже зробив своє домашнє завдання. (Зв'язок з теперішнім часом:
у нього є готове домашнє завдання)
2. Дія відбулася в якийсь період, який все ще не закінчився. Це
зазвичай виражається словами today, this
week / month / year.
We have lived in 8
countries this year. — Ми жили в 8 країнах в
цьому році. (Зв'язок з теперішнім часом: цей рік
ще не закінчився)
I have spent four
hours drawing princesses with my little sister today. — Сьогодні я провела чотири години, малюючи принцес разом з
моєю молодшою сестрою. (Зв'язок з теперішнім часом: сьогоднішній
день ще не закінчився)
3. Коли йдеться про особистий досвіді. Зазвичай
використовуються дієслова to go, to be,
to read, to try, to visit і т. д.
Have you ever been to Sweden? — Ти коли-небудь був в Швеції? (Зв'язок з теперішнім часом: що
ти знаєш зараз про Швецію з особистого досвіду)
I have never tried Thai
cuisine. — Я ніколи не пробував тайську кухню. (Зв'язок
з теперішнім часом: я не знаю, які на смак тайські блюда)
4. Ситуації та події, які розпочалися раніше і, як і раніше,
є актуальними.
He has been a member of the team for 3 years already. — Він є членом команди вже
три роки. (Зв'язок з
теперішнім часом: він був членом команди три роки і досі ним є)
5. Дії, які щойно завершилися.
I have just received my
exam results. — Я тільки що отримав результати свого іспиту. (Зв'язок з теперішнім часом: я
знаю результат)
6. Коли ми говоримо, що робимо щось у перший, другий або
третій раз. Для цього ми використовуємо конструкцію it is the first / second / third time I have done
something.
It is the
sixth time Jane has called her parents for the
evening. — Джейн подзвонила своїм батькам вже шість разів за
вечір.
It is the
first time I have read the book so fast. That's
because it is amazing. — Я вперше так швидко прочитав книгу. Це тому що вона
чудова.

Present Perfect може використовуватися тільки з виразами, що
вказують на неточний час, або зі словами, що виражають ще не завершені проміжки
або періоди часу.

Утворення:
Для того, щоб скласти речення у одному з часів групи Perfect,
потрібна форма допоміжного дієслова to have (відповідно до
часу) та дієслово-присудок з закінченням –ed (якщо воно правильне) або ІІІ форма цього
дієслова (якщо воно неправильне)
У Present Perfect Tense використовується два допоміжних
дієслова: have (для I, we, you, they) і has (для he,
she, it).
